1 pound (455 g) leanest ground turkey
1/3 cup (38 g) shredded Cheddar cheese
1/3 cup (80 ml) apple cider (or low-sodium chicken broth) 1 teaspoon coriander
1/2 teaspoon sage, crumbled, optional
1/2 teaspoon ground fennel
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix with your hands until well combined—the mixture will be sticky. Form into 8 to 12 thin patties. Spray a griddle or large skillet lightly with olive oil and heat over medium heat. Cook the patties for 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
